Cruise Ship Tours:

All of our tours listed below fit within the time frame most cruise ships are in Port Chalmers. We collect clients from Port Chalmers with tours starting between 8.30 and 9.30am or by arrangement. Should a ship not make it in to Port there is no cancellation fee.

Endangered, Rare and Unique: Wildlife and Scenic Highlights Tour:

This full day 4 Nature tour combines viewing the world's rarest penguins with the unique Moeraki Boulders, stunning scenery, an ancient rock gorge and several rare and endangered birds and reptiles at magical Orokonui Ecosanctuary.  This 4 Nature tour is aimed at cruise ship passengers and those who want to fit a bit of everything into their day. There is also the option to add on Dunedin city highlights to this tour.

Yellow Eyed Penguins and Moeraki Boulders Tour:

Encounter some of New Zealand's rare wildlife on this 4 Nature tour which combines viewing the world’s rarest penguin, marine wildlife and a wide variety of birds with the unique Moeraki Boulders, almost spherical rock formations, weighing several tons and up to three meters in diameter. There is also the option to add on Dunedin city highlights to this tour.

Organ Pipes, Orokonui Ecosanctuary, Sea Caves and Wetlands Walking Tour:

This 4 Nature tour includes a walk to the Organ Pipes, the birds and forest of Orokonui Ecosanctuary, a picturesque wetland, sea caves and stunning beaches. This full day 4 Nature tour is aimed at those able to walk on uneven ground and with a moderate level of fitness, who want to experience New Zealand’s unique wildlife up close and personal.

Orokonui Ecosanctuary, Scenic Coastline and Wetlands Strolling Tour:

This 4 Nature Tour includes many of the highlights of the walking tour but is tailored for those able to walk on well formed tracks and beaches who want to experience New Zealand’s unique wildlife at a gentler pace.

Bird Watching and Wildlife Tour:

This specialised 4 Nature tour is designed for those determined to try and view specific rare birds or reptiles. This full day tour includes an extended tour of the forest birds at Orokonui Ecosanctuary, plus wetlands and sea birds. There is also the option to add on Dunedin city highlights to this tour.

Ecosanctuary and Waders Tour:

This half day tour is intended for those able to walk on uneven ground at a gentle pace, who want to experience some of the highlights of New Zealand’s unique wildlife up close and personal. It includes a two hour tour of the forest birds at Orokonui Ecosanctuary, plus a wetlands area. There is also the option to add on Dunedin city highlights to this tour.
